I've recently come into possession of a couple of them, and you might as well go for the cheap ones seeing as they are likely to go missing again. You'll be happy to know they look pretty similar to the ones that you usually provide, so other students wont know the difference! To prevent theirs getting stolen they had double sided foam tape to stick them to the desk. Since the staplers only really need to be refilled and not necessarily moved this idea should be looked into perhaps.
